Membership Programs

Stuart Collection membership programs support the ongoing growth of the Stuart Collection through the commissioning of permanent works by established and emerging artists for the campus of UC San Diego, as well as a series of public programs with select artists. Join today!

Friends of the Stuart Collection

Donation: $500 individual, $750 couple

The Friends of the Stuart Collection support the ongoing growth of the Stuart Collection through educational programming, access to commissions, and invite-only special events with fellow Friends of the Stuart Collection.

Friends of the Stuart Collection:

  • Special access to opening event of Breathe with Me with the Jeppe Hein painting experience with other members
  • Virtual — Introduction to new artists and review of planned commisions
  • First Look: Early access to Stuart Collection app, including unique self-guided tours
  • Studio visits: On-campus visits with UC San Diego faculty and local artist studios as space allows
  • Invitation to quarterly themed guided walking tours with refreshments
  • Invitation to membership events for new installations
  • Recognition: Acknowledgment in our annual donor report

 

Director's Circle

Donation: $10,000, individual or couple (includes Friends membership benefits)

The Director’s Circle (DC) provides unparalleled access to world-renowned artists through a suite of carefully curated programs and events throughout the year. The activities for the DC will be unique, artist-centered, fun and intimate experiences.

Exclusive benefits for Director’s Circle members:

  • Access to renowned artists: Engage with globally recognized artists through exclusive, intimate experiences that include on-campus, off-campus and virtual events.
  • Curated events: Attend four to six high-quality events annually, designed to offer unique, artist-centered experiences. Our events range from private dinners to studio visits, artist-led workshops and visits to private collections, all of which ensure meaningful interactions with artists and art enthusiasts.
  • Influence and prestige: Network with fellow art collectors, enthusiasts and corporate leaders, expanding your influence beyond your current sphere.
  • Support artistic growth: Your membership donation directly supports the commissioning of permanent works and public programs.

Volunteer

Become a docent! We rely on the support and expertise of our wonderful docents to be able to provide visiting hours at Fallen Star and tours of the Collection. Many of our docents are retired UC San Diego faculty or staff, and have unique perspectives to share about their experience of the collection.
